Survivor Accounts and Possible Causes
Passengers described the ferry suddenly lifting out of the water, slamming back down and taking on water through a ruptured bow section. Some reported hearing a blast near the front of the vessel moments before it rolled over. These accounts form part of the investigation but have not yet been confirmed.
Officials say the ferry began taking on water within minutes of departure, though the exact cause remains unclear. Weather conditions, structural integrity, crew decisions and the possibility of an external impact are all under scrutiny.

Arrests and Allegations
The captain and seven crew members have been arrested.
